Christmas Cantata practice has begun on Wednesday night at 6:00 pm and also Sunday night immediately following the service.  Amy needs everyone to be there.

CHILDREN’S CHURCH OUTING to Gattiland, Sunday, November 23rd.

WOMEN’S MINISTRY will be putting Thanksgiving baskets together for needy families.  Items we need donated from our church family are as follows:  cranberry sauce, Turkey's, instant mashed potatoes, Mac & cheese, green beans, corn, stove top dressing, pumpkin pie and cool whip.  We will be putting them together Monday evening, the 24th.  Anyone who would like to help, come on down, we need a lot of help.

WOMEN’S MINISTRY needs crackers or Little Debbie lunch cakes for our   hospital baskets at KDH and OLBH.

CHRISTMAS CONCERT BY CASTING CROWNS with Natalie Grant and others, December 11th, Charleston Civic Center.  Tickets $20, See Megan Harris.

FIRST ANNUAL COMMUNITY CHRISTMAS DINNER, December 20th at our church from noon till 3pm.  Tim Braden, with assistance from the teens and the Women’s Ministry will be organizing this event.  This will be a total church function; all help will be appreciated.  We are in need of donations to reach out to our community.  Food and money will be greatly appreciated.  Johnny Hughes will have a community clothes closet open for during the dinner for those in need of more than a hot meal. 

OLD/USED EYE GLASSES AND CASES are needed for missions.  Put them in the container in the foyer.  Empty cases are needed as well.  See Helen Prescott for more information.

Nursery volunteers are needed.  Anyone willing to help see Hazel or Gertie.

DONATIONS FOR THE SOLDIERS:  Donations of toiletries, white socks, magazines, bibles, hard candies, gum, phone cards and anything else you can think of  to send to the soldiers would be greatly appreciated.  Randy Swinford, along with 57 other soldiers will be deploying in January for all of 2009.  Feel free to call Kathy Swinford if you wish to make any donations; she will pick them up.  Also, she will give Randy's address to whoever may want it while in Kuwait.  Please keep the Swinford family in your thoughts and prayers.
